1.25 Gallon Kit
5 Gallon Kit
Surface must be structurally sound, dry, and free of oil, grease, curing agents, dirt, dust or other foreign matter. Surface must be roughed up or porous. This product is designed for use over untreated concrete surfaces free from wax, dusting preventive sealers, deep penetrating sealers, bond breaking compounds and release agents and other similar chemicals that will interfere with proper adhesion and lead to premature coating failures.
Prepare surface by sanding, grinding, dry or wet sandblasting or shot blasting to achieve a clean, porous and uniform ex-posed aggregate finish with a CSP (Concrete Surface Profile) rating of "2" that will allow the product to penetrate the surface. Bead or shot blasting is the most reliable method of preparation. Clean surface entirely with TSP and rinse completely with water several times.
MIX 4 PARTS "A" WITH 1 PART "B" IN BATCHES NO LARGER THAN 1.25 GALLON AT A TIME EXCEPT AS NOTED ABOVE UNDER “SELF PRIMING REQUIREMENTS”.
Top Coat: In a clean and dry bucket, mix 4 parts A and 1 part B together using an agitator, jiffy mixer or stir stick. Mix slowly for at least 2 minutes or until completely combined. Prepare only the amount you can use in 2 hours in quantities of no more than 1 gallon at a time. Do not leave the mixed epoxy in the bucket longer than 4 hours.
Immediately prior to application, damper surface with a water sprayer. Do not puddle or leave standing water, spray only enough to darken concrete surface. After begin applying the properly mixed epoxy always making sure to keep a damp edge ahead of the application until the floor is complete. For best results on horizontal surfaces, pour the entire mixture evenly onto the surface as soon as possible after mixing. Use a 10mm nap roller or squeegee to spread mixture over the surface, back rolling the area to be coated. For best results apply at least 2 coats at 24 m2 per gallon. Clean tools with soap and water before curing begins. To increase skid resistance, stir in an approved non-skid additive into your A & B mixture.
76 microns dry film at 24m2 per gallon. 152 microns dry film at 12m2 per gallon.
When using this product as a Primer, thin slightly with water if necessary. To thin add up to a maximum ½ gallon of water to a pre-blended 1 gallon of Part A and Part B mixture and blend slowly and thoroughly.
DRYING TIME/CURE TIMES
Under normal Conditions (21°C & 50% Humidity) dries to touch in 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the formulation. May be recoated when dry to the touch. Do not apply to surfaces when ambient or surface temperatures are below 10°C.
Higher temperatures and lower humidity will accelerate cure times and reduce working time.
